I read an article: Winnipeg Caretaker assaults Native tenant.
This is terrible. However, I can see how the caretaker will try to get away with it. Not because of race or sex, but because the woman technically "threw the first punch."
Bear with me here. I am not condoning his actions.
In this day, there is no such thing as "You shouldn't hit a woman." With Woman's Lib and Eual Rights et all, the phrase should be `You shouldn't hit PERIOD`` - Sex should never be factored n the equation. If someone assaults me I will defend myself in any way suitable. My defense should not matter if my attacker is female. If the person is going to attack, I will that the person like any other attacker. Many men get assaulted because they are not supposed to hit a woman if the woman is attacking them (and yes I am aware of the frequency in which it happens).
However, there is such a thing called “excessive force.” This caretaker went over and above that. Sure, the made the first physical assault. He may not have used “excessive force” in shoving her forcibly away, but then it looked like he was going to stomp on her head. That is “excessive force.”
This man should be ordered to stop being a caretaker.
